Connect Microsoft Copilot
Connector Central is distributed as an app and agent connector for Microsoft 365 Copilot. A Microsoft 365 administrator controls whether it is available and who can install or use it.
Install and connect
- Ask your Microsoft 365 administrator to make Connector Central available from the organization's approved apps.
- Open Connector Central from Microsoft 365 Copilot or its assigned Microsoft app surface.
- Select Connect or Sign in when prompted.
- In the Connector Central window, sign in and choose the workspace Copilot should use.
- Review the canonical MCP resource and
profile:readscope, then select Allow.
Microsoft's federated connector guidance explains the current admin deployment and OAuth model.
Verify the workspace
Ask:
Which Connector Central workspace am I using?
The response should identify the workspace selected during consent. Copilot can use only the tools returned for that person by the current authenticated tools/list response.
Change workspaces
Disconnect Connector Central, connect it again, and select the other workspace during consent. A token issued for one workspace cannot be used for another.
Revoke access
Disconnect Connector Central from the Microsoft app or agent, then revoke its authorization in Connector Central. Your Microsoft 365 administrator can also remove its assignment or disable it for the organization.
Troubleshooting
- Connector Central is unavailable: ask your Microsoft 365 administrator to verify app assignment and rollout status.
- Sign-in does not complete: remove the incomplete connection and start again from the approved app.
- The wrong workspace appears: disconnect and repeat consent.
- An expected tool is missing: review the person's current Connector Central workspace access.
- A revoked connection still appears: remove the Microsoft-side connection as well as revoking it in Connector Central.
