Connect ChatGPT
Connector Central is distributed through ChatGPT's Plugins Directory. Plugin availability can depend on your ChatGPT plan, workspace policy, role, and region.
Install and connect
- Open the Plugins Directory in ChatGPT.
- Search for Connector Central and open its listing.
- Review the developer, privacy policy, terms, support details, and requested connection.
- Select Install or the plus button.
- If ChatGPT asks you to connect the app, select Connect.
- In the Connector Central window, sign in and choose the workspace ChatGPT should use.
- Review the canonical MCP resource and
profile:readscope, then select Allow.
In ChatGPT Work, start a new chat and mention the installed plugin with @ when you want to use it. OpenAI's plugin quickstart explains the current directory, installation, and invocation flow.
Verify the workspace
Ask:
Which Connector Central workspace am I using?
The response should identify the workspace selected during consent. ChatGPT can use only the tools returned for that person by the current authenticated tools/list response.
Change workspaces
Disconnect Connector Central, connect it again, and choose the other workspace during consent. A token issued for one workspace cannot be reused for another.
Revoke access
Remove or disconnect Connector Central in ChatGPT, then revoke its authorization in Connector Central. Revocation invalidates both access and refresh tokens; reconnecting requires a new consent.
Troubleshooting
- The listing is unavailable: ask your ChatGPT workspace admin whether plugins and the Connector Central app are available for your role.
- OAuth does not open: remove the incomplete connection and install it again from the listing.
- The wrong workspace appears: disconnect and repeat consent, choosing the intended workspace.
- An expected tool is missing: review the person's current Connector Central workspace access. The live tool list, not this guide, is authoritative.
- A revoked connection still appears: remove the local ChatGPT connection as well as revoking it in Connector Central.
