Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 31 August 2026

Please read this Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) carefully. It forms part of our Terms of Service and applies whenever you access or use the Connector Central Services.

1. Purpose and scope

1.1 This Policy protects Connector Central, our customers, connected third-party services and other people from unlawful, malicious, unauthorised or abusive use.

1.2 Capitalised terms not defined in this Policy have the meanings given in our Terms of Service. The Services covered by this Policy include our Site, the Connector Central Platform, gateway, APIs, connectors and tools, together with Connected Accounts and any AI client, agent, application, API key or other system you authorise to access them.

1.3 This Policy applies to you and to every person or system that accesses or uses the Services through your workspace or under your authority. If there is any conflict between this Policy and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service prevail.

1.4 This Policy addresses malicious, unlawful, unauthorised and abusive conduct. It does not govern legitimate use merely because it is unusually high-volume or resource-intensive; that is addressed separately by our Service Limits and Fair Use Policy. This Policy does not itself set service limits or impose additional usage charges.

2. Your responsibilities

2.1 You must use the Services only for lawful purposes, within the authority granted to you, and in accordance with the Terms of Service, this Policy, applicable product documentation and any terms that apply to the third-party services you connect.

2.2 Customers are responsible for the conduct of the users, contractors, AI clients, agents and applications they authorise, and for configuring their access and permissions appropriately.

2.3 You must take reasonable steps to protect passwords, agent identities, API keys, access tokens and Connected Account credentials; use the least access reasonably required; revoke access that is no longer needed; and prevent unauthorised use.

2.4 You must promptly notify us at support@connectorcentral.com if you know or reasonably suspect that an account, credential or means of access has been compromised or used in breach of this Policy.

3. Prohibited use

You must not, and must not attempt, assist, encourage or knowingly permit another person or system to:

3.1 Break the law or infringe rights

  • Use the Services in breach of applicable law, regulation, court order or legal obligation.
  • Commit or facilitate fraud, deception, theft, impersonation or other unlawful conduct.
  • Infringe or misappropriate another person’s intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, data-protection or other rights.
  • Access, obtain, disclose or process information without the authority or lawful basis required to do so.

3.2 Obtain or misuse access

  • Access or attempt to access an account, workspace, Connected Account, system, tool, credential or data that you are not authorised to access, or exceed the permissions granted to you.
  • Bypass, defeat, disable or interfere with authentication, permissions, access tiers, security controls, network restrictions or other safeguards.
  • Obtain, use, share, transfer or expose a password, agent identity, API key, token or Connected Account credential without proper authority or outside its authorised scope.
  • Misrepresent a person’s, organisation’s, agent’s or application’s identity, authority or origin.

3.3 Compromise security or availability

  • Introduce, transmit or execute malware, ransomware, viruses, worms, logic bombs or other harmful code or material.
  • Probe, scan, test or exploit a vulnerability except as expressly permitted by section 4.
  • Exploit a vulnerability to gain persistence or to access, alter, exfiltrate, corrupt, destroy or interfere with data or systems.
  • Launch or facilitate a denial-of-service attack, materially disrupt or degrade the Services or a connected third-party service, or knowingly or recklessly impose a workload intended to cause such disruption.
  • Use the Services as a means of attacking, compromising or interfering with another service, network, device or person.

3.4 Circumvent limits or conduct abusive automation

  • Deliberately evade or defeat a contractual, technical, rate, quota or usage limit imposed by Connector Central or a connected third-party service, including by distributing activity across accounts, workspaces, identities or credentials.
  • Use bots or other automated methods to register accounts, or access the Services through interfaces not provided or authorised for that purpose.
  • Send or facilitate spam, phishing, unlawful unsolicited communications, harassment or other abusive automated activity.
  • Falsify or conceal request origins, headers, routing information or identifiers in order to evade detection, controls or restrictions.

3.5 Expose or commercialise access without permission

  • Sell, resell, rent, sublicense, distribute, white-label or commercially expose the Services, or provide access to them as a service to another party, except where expressly permitted by the Terms of Service or a written agreement with us.
  • Share log-in details or expose a workspace, gateway, API, connector or credential to a person or system that is not properly authorised by the Customer.
  • Connect or use a third-party account unless you have authority to do so.

3.6 Breach third-party terms

  • Use a connector, Connected Account or third-party API in breach of terms, permissions or restrictions that apply to your use of that service.
  • Knowingly cause Connector Central to breach a connected provider’s applicable terms or technical restrictions.
  • Use information or functionality obtained through a connected service beyond the rights granted by that service or the relevant account holder.

4. Good-faith security research

4.1 The prohibition on probing, scanning and vulnerability testing does not prevent security research that we have expressly authorised in writing or that is conducted strictly in accordance with section 17, “Vulnerability Disclosure”, of our Privacy Policy.

4.2 Permitted research must use the minimum access and data necessary, avoid accessing, modifying or deleting another person’s data, avoid disruption or persistence, stop if there is a risk of harm, report the issue promptly and avoid public disclosure until we have had a reasonable opportunity to address it.

4.3 Testing outside those conditions is not authorised by this Policy.

5. Investigation and enforcement

5.1 We are not obliged to monitor all use of the Services, but we may investigate suspected breaches using information lawfully available to us and may ask you to provide information reasonably needed to assess or address a risk.

5.2 You must cooperate reasonably with an investigation and with proportionate steps to contain or remedy a breach, including securing or rotating credentials and disabling affected users, agents, applications or connections.

5.3 Depending on the circumstances, we may:

  • warn you and require specified remediation;
  • reject or restrict affected requests or tools;
  • disable or revoke an affected credential, token, agent identity, connector or Connected Account connection;
  • restrict a user, agent, application, workspace or account;
  • temporarily suspend some or all access; or
  • terminate access or the account in accordance with the Terms of Service.

5.4 We will seek to make enforcement proportionate to the nature, severity, duration, recurrence and apparent intent of the conduct, the harm caused, and the continuing risk to the Services, customers or third parties.

5.5 Where it is reasonably practicable and safe to do so, we will notify the account owner, explain the basis of the action and provide a reasonable opportunity to remedy the breach or request a review. You may request a review by contacting support@connectorcentral.com.

5.6 We may act immediately and without prior notice where we reasonably consider that necessary to prevent unlawful activity, a security threat, credential compromise, material disruption or harm, or to protect Connector Central, a customer or a third-party service. An immediate measure may remain in place while we investigate.

5.7 We may preserve relevant evidence and report or disclose suspected unlawful conduct where required or permitted by law, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6. Reporting concerns

Please report suspected breaches of this Policy to support@connectorcentral.com. Security vulnerabilities should be reported using the process in section 17 of our Privacy Policy. Do not investigate another person’s account or data yourself.

7. Changes to this Policy

7.1 We may update this Policy from time to time. A change takes effect when the updated Policy is published at this URL unless we specify a later date or applicable law requires advance notice.

7.2 We will update the “Last updated” date above whenever this Policy changes. Where applicable law requires notice, we will notify the account owner using the contact details associated with the account or an in-product notice.

7.3 To the extent permitted by law, continued use of the Services after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy. If you do not agree to a change, you must stop using the Services and may cancel in accordance with the Terms of Service.
