Service Limits and Fair Use Policy

Last updated: 31 August 2026

Please read this Service Limits and Fair Use Policy (“Policy”) carefully. It forms part of our Terms of Service and applies whenever you access or use the Connector Central Services. It should be read together with our Acceptable Use Policy.

1. Purpose and scope

1.1 This Policy helps us keep the Services reliable, available and secure while allowing customers to make normal business use of included features without usage charges.

1.2 Legitimate use can still be unusually high-volume or resource-intensive. This Policy explains how we handle that use. Unlawful, malicious, unauthorised or abusive conduct is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy instead.

1.3 Capitalised terms not defined in this Policy have the meanings given in our Terms of Service. If there is any conflict between this Policy and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service prevail.

1.4 This Policy applies to you and to every person or system that accesses or uses the Services through your workspace or under your authority.

2. Normal business use and “unlimited” features

2.1 When a plan includes unlimited users, this means there is no plan-based numerical cap on the number of workspace members.

2.2 When a plan includes unlimited standard connectors, this means there is no plan-based numerical cap on the standard connectors that the plan makes available. Standard connectors are identified in our pricing, product documentation or other product information.

2.3 “Unlimited” does not mean that every connector, Connected Account, API request, payload, storage allocation, Activity retention period, unattended agent, support service or other resource is unlimited or included. Vendor-priced connectors, custom connectors, plan-specific Activity retention and other published or agreed plan terms continue to apply.

2.4 Normal business use means good-faith use of included capabilities for your ordinary business or client services, through the interfaces we provide, without materially threatening the security, availability or integrity of the Services or a connected third-party service.

2.5 We do not impose usage charges for normal use of included features. Charges imposed by a connected third-party provider are governed by your relationship with that provider. We will not charge you for a vendor-priced connector, custom connector, additional capacity or other paid arrangement unless you expressly agree to it.

3. Technical and third-party limits

3.1 We may apply reasonable technical limits to protect and operate the Services. These may concern request rate, concurrency, processing time, payload or batch size, storage, retention, throughput, retries, queues or connector operations.

3.2 We will describe material current limits in the relevant product documentation, setup guidance, API response or product interface where reasonably practicable. Limits may vary by connector, third-party provider, plan or written agreement.

3.3 Connected third-party providers may apply their own permissions, quotas, request rates, payload limits, availability constraints and terms. We do not control or guarantee those limits.

3.4 We may queue, delay, retry, throttle or reject affected requests where reasonably necessary to comply with an applicable limit or protect the Services or a connected third-party service.

4. Exceptional workloads

4.1 Legitimate use may be an exceptional workload where it repeatedly or materially:

  • exceeds a published technical limit;
  • uses unusually large payloads, batches, storage volumes or sustained request volumes;
  • consumes a disproportionate amount of processing, memory, storage, bandwidth or queue capacity;
  • causes substantial third-party throttling, failures or retries;
  • degrades or threatens the Services or a connected third-party service; or
  • requires bespoke capacity, configuration, architecture or support.

4.2 We will consider the nature, volume, frequency, duration, recurrence and concentration of the workload; its effect on the Services, other customers and third parties; the applicable plan or agreement; and the steps reasonably available to address it.

4.3 Use is not exceptional merely because a workspace has many users or uses many standard connectors.

4.4 Deliberate circumvention of limits or activity intended to disrupt or degrade a service is governed by the Acceptable Use Policy rather than this Policy.

5. Our normal response to an exceptional workload

5.1 We will normally:

  • contact the account owner and explain the workload and its effect;
  • work with you to optimise the affected use, which may include batching, pagination, scheduling, concurrency, narrower requests, retention or retry behaviour;
  • give you a reasonable opportunity to make agreed changes; and
  • where optimisation is not sufficient, discuss a mutually agreed configuration, custom plan or written arrangement.

5.2 We will not impose an additional Connector Central charge, move you to a paid or custom plan, or apply a charge retrospectively without your express agreement.

5.3 You may decline a proposed paid or custom arrangement and stop or modify the affected use. You may also cancel the Services in accordance with the Terms of Service.

5.4 If no workable arrangement is reached, or the workload continues to create a material risk, we may restrict the affected use after giving the account owner reasonable advance notice. The notice will describe the measure, why it is needed, its expected effect, the date it will take effect and any steps reasonably available to avoid or reduce it.

5.5 A restriction will be targeted to the affected requests, workload, connector or functionality where reasonably practicable, so unaffected use can continue.

6. Immediate service protection

6.1 We may take an immediate temporary measure without prior notice only where we reasonably consider it necessary to address an immediate or material threat to the security, integrity or availability of the Services or a connected third-party service, or to prevent material harm.

6.2 An immediate measure may include throttling, queuing or rejecting affected requests; limiting payload size or concurrency; pausing an affected connector, tool or workload; or restricting affected functionality.

6.3 We will use the least restrictive measure reasonably available and keep it in place only for as long as reasonably necessary. We will restore affected use promptly when the risk has been addressed.

6.4 We will notify the account owner as soon as reasonably practicable, explaining the reason, scope and expected effect of the measure, the steps needed to address it and how to request a review.

6.5 An immediate measure under this section does not by itself mean that you breached the Acceptable Use Policy, and it does not create an additional charge.

7. Changes to this Policy

7.1 We may update this Policy for a valid reason, including a change in law, regulation, security risk, third-party provider requirements, capacity, product design or the protection of the Services.

7.2 We will give reasonable advance notice of a change that materially and adversely affects your use of the Services, taking account of the nature and effect of the change and any urgency.

7.3 Notice may be sent by email to the account owner or displayed in the product. It will describe the change, why it is being made, its expected effect and the date it will take effect.

7.4 We may publish a minor clarification or a change that does not materially reduce the Services without advance notice. An urgent security, legal or third-party provider requirement may also take effect sooner, in which case we will give notice as soon as reasonably practicable.

7.5 If you do not agree to a change, you may stop the affected use or cancel the Services before it takes effect in accordance with the Terms of Service.

7.6 A change to this Policy will not create a retrospective charge. We will update the “Last updated” date above whenever this Policy changes.
